Acidic vomit? She somehow set the couch on fire? Uhh… really deep citrus stain?
The ‘legal age’ part suggests some funky biochemistry…
I’m reminded of ‘Alien Nation’, where the aliens could get drunk on sour milk.
Yeah, it puts them into a euphoric state.
Technically, I think humans can also get drunk on sour milk. Typically horse milk, since it’s got a higher sugar content, which leads to a higher alcohol content once it ferments (though it’s still pretty low, roughly 2%). See for example Kumis and Airag.
I’ve accidentally drunk sour milk… it was not a good time.
While technically true, this is the sort of thing where you have to be really careful what culture you let grow in the milk… it’s like yogurt or cheese, you have to basically seed it with the right stuff to start with to grab the ecological niche and prevent any more opportunistic beasties from getting in.
Milk just left out in the open can get to ‘biohazard’ territory disturbingly easily.
It’s amazing everything humanity has learned can and cannot be eaten over hundreds of thousands of years of trial and error. “It’s sort of like the thing that killed Carl, but not quite. Steve, eat it!”
She’s got claws. She probably just tore it up.
