I know one writer who commented at one point about all the various overlapping Niddle-Eastern love/war/cat-aspected goddesses (Astarte/Ishtar/Sekhmet/Aphrodite) and then joked about doing a ‘harem anime’ with all of them fighting over a single worshipper.
