Born into an engineering family Melli was born and grew up in one of the massive teraforming facilities on Mars, helping to rebuild their long gone atmosphere. She would later go onto be the head engineer of that very facility. While a very technical person, she has found great joy in watching forests develop on the surface of the once red planet, and believes that the trees will carry on her work. To this day she still runs the facility and lives there with her husband, mother, and granddaughter.
