When Dr Argo showed the design for power armor everyone thought it was awesome looking. However, most of the viewers also thought it looked too dangerous to operate or stand withing twenty feet of. Cooper on the other hand, thought it looked like the most wild ride in the world. Seeing as they had a volunteer they built it too fit their body.
We don’t know if Drive is their real last name. It’s a little too on point for a test pilot, but they live up to it.
