Ironback rose to power in the tradition of his people… a spelling bee. Just kidding, it was through violent combat. However unlike so many chieftains before him, he did not slay his fallen foes, instead he merely scarred them as a reminder of how they had been defeated and then kept them on as part of his army. To this day, a dozen of his most trusted friends and companions are people that once tried to kill him for power.
