“Greating Stone” or “Greeting Stone”?

i’m not exactly up-to-date on Martian culture and based on the context, i’m not sure if that’s a typo.
the Dara-groon were outsiders, but also helped improve Martian culture/civilisation significantly, so it could easily commemorate either the greeting of the Dara-Groon or the greating of the Martian people.

or maybe it was used by the Martians to make parmesan sprinkles for their spaghetti and should be spelled “Grating Stone” /shrug
like i said, i’m not exactly knowledgeable in the realm of Martian culture
