What was Dr. Abyssal’s patron’s goal? We know that it eventually makes a direct physical incursion into this reality (only to discover that kill-sats are a thing), but that’s not for quite some amount of linear time. Was the artifact related in anyway, or does it have multiple long term goals other than just feasting off of Dr. A’s chaos?
This is why I’m glad I’m more into backsides than front-racks. Easier to put it out of sight and at least TRY to hold your own in a conversation.

The more chaos there is the stronger her patron becomes and the sooner it can try to enter this world… and get taken down by an orbital laser.
The artifact was something to strengthen its power.
